Nepali cricket’s global star Sandeep Lamichhane has performed brilliantly in the opening match of the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) 2025-26 today. Sandeep took two important wickets on his debut for his new team Rajshahi Warriors .

The first match of the season, held at the Sylhet International Cricket Stadium today , was between Rajshahi Warriors and Sylhet Titans.
- Sandeep’s performance: Sandeep gave away 38 runs in his allotted 4 overs, sending the opposition’s two main batsmen to the pavilion.
- Wicket : He helped turn the game in Rajshahi’s favor by destroying Sylhet’s middle order.
Rajshahi Warriors signed Sandeep for this season. The team welcomed him by giving him the nickname “Himalayan Magic”. After his impressive performance in the first game, Nepali fans and Rajshahi team management are excited.
Sandeep’s return to the BPL is also seen as preparation for the upcoming T20 World Cup 2026.
